Tank Meeting nr 47 at Vasakronan – How can workspaces support innovation?

The Initiator Tank Meeting will take place between 12:00 – 16:00. During the Tank Meeting we’ll discuss various innovation topics of choice. The IP steering group meeting will then follow between 16:00 – 18:30. After that we’ll have a joint dinner starting at around 19:00.

How can workspaces support innovation?

We used to talk about offices. These days we speak of workspaces as a golden combination of three key components – space, technology and people. When these three gear up in perfect harmony and we actively design our workspaces accordingly, we create a powerful tool to drive change and development. The right design will ultimately raise the probability to achieve what exactly it is we wish to achieve.  On the other hand, the wrong design will ultimately lower that probability.

In recent years the interest in workspaces has increased drastically, not least as a key component of employer branding. However, quite often it’s more about being flashy, cool or representative rather than adequate and smart. The modern workspace should also provide the opportunity of mobile ways of working. But, if it does, what impact will that have on corporate culture and innovation?

At this tank meeting, focus lies on how workspaces can enhance innovation. How do we create a culture of innovation? The aim is to build common knowledge, share good examples and explore existing and future workspaces of excellence.  By participating, you will gain insight as well as receive tools to help you build your own organization of excellence.

• What is the workspace of today and what will it encompass in the future?
• How can the workspace enhance a culture of innovation?
• What potential is there in my own organization to embrace the opportunities of a well thought through workspace?
