SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) officially came into force at 1 January 2016. Since then, many companies have sought to play their part in engaging with the SDGs, in order to make contributions to improve the lives and create new opportunities for people around the world. But there is much more than can be done, both at home and abroad.

In this tankmeeting, UNOPS Global Innovation Centre Sweden are invited to outline their mission to strengthen the goals and partnership with the private sector to maximize this. The following sessions will reflect on the active steps taken to engage with the SDGs as well as take the opportunity to look ahead to this decade of action and reaffirm the focus to make 2030 Agenda a reality.

Ericsson ONE

Sustainability is central to Ericsson’s purpose. We are committed to creating positive impacts in society. At Ericsson ONE we create game-changing businesses by unlocking intrapreneurs and innovators, shaping the future together. There are hundreds if not thousands of great ideas just waiting to be unlocked, together we can shape the future of Ericsson and change the world for the better. To succeed, we must unleash our intrapreneurial power – Ericsson ONE was founded to do just that.

With a team of 30+ people in 3 hubs across the world we support intrapreneurs all over the globe to build new businesses and ventures. At any given moment we have 30-40 projects from early validation to late-stage acceleration & scaling.

We will share insights from how we are building Ericsson ONE where we combine innovation and new venture development with sustainability and impact. Technology can impact all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, but multi-stakeholder cooperation is needed to make sure that benefits of digital technology reach all. Therefore, we are also launching an Early-Adopter program where we invite you to be the first to validate and test the new products and services we are building. We will present you with some of the current projects we have in our pipeline.

At the event you will meet staff from our site in Lund, Ericsson ONE and our Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility team.
