1. Introduction

1.1      Innovation Pioneers International (IPI) processes Personal Data of users (“User”) upon their registration of user account (“User Account”) to the website www.innovationpioneers.net and/or participants (“Participant”) upon their registration to events on this website (“Website”). This Privacy Policy together with the Terms and Conditions (and any other documents referred to in them) set out the basis on which Innovation Pioneers will process any Personal Data obtained as a result of the Participant’s order of ticket(s) to events and/or the User’s registration of a User Account. All processing will be in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation for the purposes for which the information was submitted. Please read the following carefully to understand Innovation Pioneers’ views and practices regarding processing of Personal Data.

1.2      Personal Data means name, date of birth, address, e-mail address, telephone number and/or other personal information of the Participant and/or the User.

2. Data Protection 

2.1      Innovation Pioneers safeguards the Participant’s and the User’s personal integrity and maintains high security standards in order to prevent infringement by unauthorized persons. When registering a User Account and/or ordering ticket(s) to events, the Participant and/or the User may be asked to provide certain data about himself/herself, such as name, user name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address etc. Such information about the Participant and/or the User is private and confidential. Innovation Pioneers will not disclose this information to any unauthorized person without the prior consent of the Participant and/or the User.

2.2      Innovation Pioneers will handle the Personal Data provided by the User and/or the Participant in accordance with the Swedish Personal Data Act (1998:204) and other applicable laws. Innovation Pioneers will use and manage the Personal Data for the following purposes:
a)    for the supply of tickets and the administration of tickets to events;
b)    for quality control work, analysis and development of User Accounts, this Website and events;
c)    for communication purposes aimed at Participants and/or Users, by IPI and its partners.
d)    for publishing a contact list of all Participants of events on the Website in order for Participants  to be able to contact each other and arrange meetings.
e)    for publishing statistics about Participants and/or Users;
f)    for registering User Accounts, including information of Users’ skills, professional experiences, educational background, networking etc; and
g)    for the fulfillment of obligations under law or directives of public authorities.

2.3      Innovation Pioneers is the legal entity acting as the Personal Data controller for the Participant’s and/or the User’s Personal Data.

3.    Access to the Personal Data

3.1   Innovation Pioneers will not sell, rent or lease any of the gathered Personal Data except as when explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy.

3.2   Innovation Pioneers shares Personal Data with a creditor company managing the invoicing, the webhosting company and a company responsible for Innovation Pioneer’s marketing activities.

4.    Information to the Registered Person

The User and/or the Participant has the right, on a year by year basis and upon written request to Innovation Pioneers, to obtain information on which Personal Data about the User and/or the Participant Innovation Pioneers is handling. The User and/or the Participant also have the right, free of charge, to demand that incorrect data are corrected, blocked or erased. The User and/or the Participant may also notify Innovation Pioneers, in writing, at any time, that the User and/or the Participant do not wish to receive marketing from Innovation Pioneers.

5.    Purging of Personal Data

Personal data may not be kept longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was gathered. This means that Personal Data must be reviewed regularly and obsolete Personal Data must be purged from the systems and databases where the information is kept.

6.    Security

6.1   Innovation Pioneers has implemented technical and organizational safety measures which Innovation Pioneers believes are sufficient to protect the Personal Data being processed.

7.    Use of Cookies

7.1   Innovation Pioneers never uses or install spyware on the Users’s and/or the Participant’s computer or use spyware to retrieve information from the User’s and/or the Participant’s computer.

7.2   Innovation Pioneers uses "cookies", which are files stored on the User’s and/or the Participant’s computer's hard drive by the User’s and/or the Participant’s browser. Cookies help Innovation Pioneers to identify account holders and to optimize their site experience. Most browsers accept cookies automatically but allow the User and/or the Participant to disable them. Innovation Pioneers recommend that the Participant and/or the User leave cookies "turned on" so that Innovation Pioneers can offer the User and/or the Participant a better experience on this Website.

8.    Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes Innovation Pioneers may make to this Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on the Website and, where appropriate, notified to the User and/or the Participant by e-mail.
